Shana Cappelle, D.M.D.

Dr. Cappelle is originally from Wisconsin and has made North Carolina her home. She resides in Durham with her husband, Jeff, and her daughter. She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Tufts University School of Dental Medicine located in Boston, MA.

Dr. Cappelle enjoys all aspects of general dentistry including tooth-colored fillings, crowns, bridges, implant restorations, root canal therapy, extractions, dentures, and Invisalign. She is dedicated to furthering her dental education and regularly takes continuing education courses to stay current with the latest in dental technology. She has a background practicing dentistry in public health and believes prevention and education is of upmost importance.

In her free time, Dr. Cappelle enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and hiking in the state parks of North Carolina. She also enjoys watching college basketball and football.

Ryan Marder, D.D.S.

Born and raised in Charlotte, NC, Dr. Ryan Marder discovered his passion for dentistry early on. This led him to pursue his educational journey at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for both undergraduate studies and dental school. Notably, he graduated with honors, showcasing his dedication to excellence in dentistry. After completing dental school, Dr. Marder took the path of continuous learning and professional growth. He attended the Dental College of Georgia in Augusta, gaining extensive knowledge in implant dentistry and IV sedation during his General Practice Residency. This experience allowed him to gain invaluable expertise in these fields, ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care when seeking dental treatments.

Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Marder is a respected educator in the dental community. He proudly serves as a speaker for the American Academy of Implant Dentistry Maxicourse, sharing his knowledge and expertise in implant-related procedures with fellow dentists. This commitment to advancing the field of dentistry underscores his passion for providing the best possible care to his patients. In addition to his professional achievements, Dr. Marder is an avid outdoor enthusiast. He finds solace and inspiration in the great outdoors, enjoying activities such as traveling, hiking, camping, and fly fishing. This adventurous spirit translates into his approach to dentistry, where he aims to make each patient’s dental journey as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

Dr. Wilson

I’m originally from Irving, TX and completed my bachelor’s degree in Chemistry at Southern Methodist University. After a few years in “the field”, I moved to Houston, TX for dental school and graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, The Dental Branch. After dental school, I pursued further education by completing the General Practice Residency at the University of North Carolina.

I am actively serving at the UNC Adams School of Dentistry as adjunct professor because I believe in the importance of lifelong learning and am passionate about continuing education and service. I have worked in community health, public health, and continue my efforts in mission work around the area as well as central America. In 2021, I received the distinguished Fellowship award in the Academy of General Dentistry. I love that dentistry has the power to be so transformative, and with my commitment to education and service, I have a mindset of educating and healing my patients. I’m thrilled to be part of your healthcare team.
