How Invisalign Works
1. Consultation
Meet with your dental team to discuss your smile goals and determine whether Invisalign is the right fit for your needs.
2. Digital Scan
We create a precise 3D digital map of your teeth using advanced scanning technology. You’ll get a preview of what your smile can look like before treatment begins.
3. Custom Aligner Fabrication
Your aligners are custom-made based on your scan and your treatment plan. Each set is designed to move your teeth gradually and precisely.
4. Wearing Your Aligners
Wear each set of aligners for approximately two weeks, 20 to 22 hours per day. Remove them only to eat, drink anything other than water, brush, and floss.
5. Regular Check-ins
Brief visits every six to eight weeks allow your dental team to monitor your progress, make any adjustments, and provide your next sets of aligners.
6. Retention
Once treatment is complete, a retainer keeps your teeth in their new position and protects your results.

Most patients experience mild pressure when switching to a new set of aligners, which is a normal sign the treatment is working and typically fades within a day or two. Unlike traditional braces, there are no wires or brackets to cause irritation to the inside of your mouth.
You should remove your aligners before eating or drinking anything other than plain water, as eating with them in can damage the aligners and increase the risk of cavities. Because they are removable, there are no food restrictions during Invisalign treatment.
Invisalign uses clear, removable aligners instead of fixed metal brackets and wires, making it virtually invisible and easier to maintain your oral hygiene throughout treatment. For most cases, Invisalign is just as effective as traditional braces and requires fewer office visits.
