Dr. McNeal
Dr. McNeal moved to NC in 2010 to attend UNC Dental school and has made NC his home since. He is a graduate from the Milwaukee School of Engineering with a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering. Post-graduation he worked for the Newport News Shipbuilding company and was a design engineer for both Nimitz class Naval Nuclear Aircraft Carriers as well as Virginia Class Nuclear submarines. He later joined the Northrop Grumman Space Systems and was the lead design engineer on the Naval Ballistic Missile Trident D5 program as an internal insulation specialist. In 2008 he decided to pursue a career in dentistry and Graduated from Weber State University with a Post Bachelors in Microbiology. He attended the UNC School of Dentistry from 2010-2014 and graduated with honors.
Dr. McNeal has received training in complex surgical extractions, including Wisdom
teeth removal. He also has advanced training in implantology and is a licensed IV
sedation practitioner with experience performing surgeries in the Hospital OR as well as
private practice. Dr. McNeal is knowledgeable and equipped to manage all aspects of
dentistry from the most straightforward to the complex full mouth rehabilitation.
On a personal note, Dr. McNeal’s favorite time is spent with his family of three children;
Tyson, Rebecca, and AJ. They enjoy the outdoors hiking, four wheeling, and rock or
fossil hunting. They are also Carolina Hurricane fans and try not to miss a game!
